BDH

A BDH is a water tight container normally used for carrying equipment such as first aid kits, lunch etc inside the kayak or canoe. BDH stands for British Drug House the company that makes these containers. These days dry bags tend to be prefered option amonst kayakers, mainly because they're easier to squeeze into the smaller boats.

Dry Bag

A Dry Bag is a watertight bag that can be used for storing equipment such as first aid kits, repair kits, lunch etc inside a canoe or kayak.

Dynamic Strokes

A Dynamic Stroke is a stroke that requires the paddler to actively work the paddle to achieve an end result. Examples of Dynamic Stokes are forward paddling, sweep strokes and draw strokes.

PLAY BOAT

A Play Boat is a special design of canoe/kayak that allows the paddler to perform stunts and aerobatics.

PLAY BOATING

Play Boating is a term used to describe a canoeing/kayaking activity where the paddlers make their boats perform stunts and acrobatics whilst on moving water. Playboaters use a class of boat refered to as a Play Boat.
